Trough Weighers.

Robust weighing with trough feeding. Trough Weighers suit applications where robust product handling, ease of cleaning or a fully enclosed configuration takes priority over maximum cycle rate.

At a glance.

Unlike a Belt Weigher, the product is not transported on an actively accelerated conveyor belt. Product movement takes place along the trough. The possible cycle rate is therefore generally lower than that of a Belt Weigher, while conveyor belt wear is eliminated.

Adhesive products, products that slide poorly and very lightweight products are less suitable for trough feeding. Selection is based on the actual conveying behaviour.

  • Piece goods and bulk materials that can be reliably conveyed in a trough
  • Demanding industrial applications and suitable mixed products
  • Abrasive, denser or heavier products, provided they flow or slide sufficiently
